If I got nothing else done in the garden this year, I was by golly gonna get the corn in.
I did three beds, three varieties.  'Expresso', 'Spring Treat' and 'Country Gentleman', an heirloom shoepeg white.  All three went into the ground in late April, and the rule of thumb around here is 'Knee high by the Fourth of July'.
All but 'Expresso' hit that mark in mid-June.
I see a whole lotta corn going into canning jars and the freezer this year....
