Ahhhhh. Got back from Wisconsin on the 17th and the morning of the 18th, picked this lovely if a tad overripe 'Persimmon' heirloom tomato. It went very nicely on the Liza burgers that night.
I also came back to two tomato monsters who had escaped their cages in spite of Dale's best efforts to keep them contained while I was gone. Both the grafted 'Brandywine' and the 'Persimmon' are well over 6' tall, probably closer to 7', lush and green and loaded with green tomatoes. Gonna be a lot of canning this year!
