Tuesday, it was time. The youngest lamb was just shy of two months old, and poor Aprille was dealing with her son Donny being nearly as big as her, trying to nurse literally lying on his side. So we sorted out the lambs and just to keep them company, two of the older wethers Spot and David and put them in the nearly empty maternity pasture with Roar and the four yearling ewes. Needless to say, I'm expecting that not many folks nearby got a lot of sleep Tuesday night. Amazing how much volume those little guys (and their moms) have!
|On their own now, Donny is the big guy in front, with Tina (white with black face and leg) behind him, yelling already. Spot and David head off to go eat some more, basically ignoring their new charges|
